The Aerolite is remarkable because it has all the elements of a large airplane, including electric flaps and a yoke, but retains all the appeal of open air flying you could ever want. There are three Hirth engines recommended including a 28 hp single cylinder F-33, a 40 hp inline two cylinder 2702, and a 50 hp boxer style two cylinder.
